Facing the crossroads in life can often lead to drastic decisions.

In the summer of 1977, 27 year-old John Tipton has grown weary of his current job in Fort Worth, Texas and discovers his wife is seeking a divorce.

Looking for an opportunity to leave his old life behind, an intriguing job offer appears which will take Tipton somewhere he never expected-Tehran, Iran.

"My Iranian Revolution", the new book of John Robert Tipton, follows the political unrest in Iran and the American expatriate who finds himself caught in the middle of the Iranian Revolution.

"I wrote this book as a means to inform readers about the people and the culture in Iran," said Tipton. "It was important for me to share my experiences living and working in downtown Tehran during the revolution."

Through his remarkable memory and vivid ability to tell his story, Tipton shares exciting and colorful memories from his time in Iran. Tipton offers an American's unique perspective on the Iranian Revolution.
