"My Two Years Crush: Or Maybe Love???" (published by Partridge India) tells the simple one-sided love story of Mayra Kashyap, a funny, adorable girl, who falls for Rehan Soni, the first love of her life.

"The overall theme of my novel is that everybody falls in love in their life once, twice, and thrice or many more times. And that feeling is adorable," author Pranoti Jariwala says. "But you have to believe for love to exist. Therefore if it does not knock (on) your door now, wait for the right time to come. Be patient. Worry less and never forget to have that curve on your face which sets everything straight. Because every night has a following morning and what is mean to be will always be."

Jariwala says she wrote the book during her hostel days when she was transitioning from a safe home environment. "I know it's not a big deal to shift to a new place but the first time experience is very amazing," she says. "You got to do all your stuff by your own and you suddenly start feeling independent and urge to do something by your own."

An excerpt from "My Two Years Crush":
He is always in my mind and my heart even today as the person whom I loved the most. But I have learned to live without him. As time heals everything as we gradually proceed in life. There is someone waiting for me to fill his place into my life - who loves me the same way I loved him, who will make me smile the way I smiled looking at him and for whom I'll be his everything.
