MTV Books announced today the release of an all new e-book compilation of ten of the most chilling classic vampire stories from the "Weird Tales" vault. The e-book is currently available for download on iTunes, and will be available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble soon.

"Weird Tales," considered the foremost authority of "fantasy, science fiction and horror," dates back over 80 years, and was the first storytelling magazine devoted to the realm of the "dark and fantastic." It launched in 1923 and provided a literary platform for authors such as Ray Bradbury, Robert E. Howard, H.P. Lovecraft and Robert Bloch.

The ten stories in the "Weird Tales" e-book compilation include: "The Man Who Cast No Shadow" by Seabury Quinn, "The Wolf Woman" by Bassett Morgan, "The Canal" by Everil Worrell, "A Rendezvous in Averoigne" by Clark Ashton Smith, "Placide's Wife" by Kirk Mashburn, "Vampire Village" by Edmond Hamilton, "Return to Death" by J. Wesley Rosenquist, "Doom of the House of Duryea" by Earl Pierce, Jr., "The Silver Coffin" by Robert Barbour Johnson and "The Antimacassar" by Greye La Spina.

Beginning today through Sunday, October 28, 2012, MTV Books is giving 30 fans the chance to win a free download. To enter, follow @MTVBooks on twitter and re-tweet: Want a free read? Here's your chance to get #WeirdTalesVampires just in time for Halloween.
