LIFE/DEATH RHYTHMS OF ANCIENT EMPIRES Discusses Historical Cycles

By: Jul. 01, 2013

Author Will Slatyer brings a lifetime of forecasting experience to his new book "Life/Death Rhythms of Ancient Empires - Climatic Cycles Influence Rule of Dynasties: A Predictable Pattern of Religion, War, Prosperity and Debt" (published by Trafford Publishing), which explores the cyclical nature of history.

"The mass psychology of people runs a course of hundreds of years allowing lives of national cultures to rise and fall," Slatyer explains. "For example, climate change has occurred on Earth for millennia and has affected the moods of people for at least a few millennia. Once a cycle can be calculated from the past, it can be used to forecast the future."

An excerpt from "Life/Death Rhythms of Ancient Empires - Climatic Cycles Influence Rule of Dynasties":

"Hot-drought phases tend to occur towards the end of the (long-term) warm phase, just before the temperature trend begins to cool. This pattern suggests the possibility of a major drought in the 2025-2030 period. This will have a great effect on the American culture, and might indicate a change in cultural world dominance."

Slatyer's research proves the necessity of a book like his. "Lessons from the past need to be revealed or else we will continue to repeat past mistakes," he says. "Unfortunately today's leaders do not study history."

About the Author

Will Slatyer's naval career, which included a number of years as a clearance diver, taught him basic group psychology and the need for group discipline. His commercial career as a commodities broker, commodity futures manager and merchant banker led him to pattern and cyclical research for risk management. Skills learned included technical analysis of financial markets, which led to use of cycles to assist forecasting. Following retirement, Slatyer was engaged often as a foreign exchange risk management expert in litigation. Access to many cultures during regular world travel indicated the need for a recorded flow of international history against the common historical literature focusing on one culture only. Slatyer learned from international markets experience that past social behavior is cyclical, so patterns allow the future to be forecast.
