Motherhood inspired the powerful prose of Anne Lamott, Susan Cheever, Ayelet Waldman and Alice Walker, launching them, and many others, to the top of bestseller lists. Award-winning writer Kate Hopper has spent nearly a decade teaching women to write down the bones of motherhood. In Use Your Words: A Writing Guide for Mothers, her expert guidance will encourage women to write the stories they need to write, whether the goal is to blog, publish magazine articles, or pen the next blockbuster memoir. Use Your Words is now available as an audiobook as well.

Kate Hopper will be appearing on the radio and at events throughout May, including:

May 15th - 8:15 a.m. - Tune in to KUMD Radio in Duluth, MN. Kate will be chatting with Lisa Johnson on her show, Northland Morning.

May 15th - 6:30 p.m. - The Bookstore at Fitger's. Duluth, MN. Join Kate for a signing and reading!

May 30th - June 1st - 3rd Annual River Teeth Conference, Ashland, Ohio. "I love this conference, people, and I know it will be warm there, so join me!"

Motherhood & Words Mini!
"I'm excited to be doing a 4-week Motherhood & Words class through Loft Around Town." This class will be held at the JCC in St. Paul the first four Mondays in June (9:30 - 11:30 a.m.). The best part: the JCC will provide low-cost child care on site.

Kate Hopper holds an M.F.A. in creative writing and has taught creative writing at the University of Minnesota, The Loft Literary Center, and online, as well as at libraries and other workshops.
