Former FBI agent, private investigator John Lawe authors new crime mystery.

Former FBI agent Matt Kinler's world is turned upside down in one telephone call. When he answers the call, Matt learns an informant from his FBI days - Jesse Lopez - is in trouble.

In author John Lawe's new book, "Pure Evil" (published by WestBow Press), Matt must navigate multiple facets of his life - the intricacies of his marriage, the search for his old friend and a demanding career - while searching for his former colleague, Jesse.

Lawe draws upon his real-world experience as a former FBI agent and private investigator to craft a thrilling mystery, which he hopes will highlight the potential societal dangers of deceptive governmental practices and dishonest political decisions.

"Readers of mysteries will find the plot intriguing, the story fast-paced and the dialogue snappy," Lawe says of "Pure Evil". "The book will appeal to Christian readers, as well, because it doesn't have sexual content and the faith embraced by Matt and Anna is woven into the action and events."
