Author John Crawley announces his new novel, Fishing Lessons, has been published by LULU Press and is available in eBook format at Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble and in hard copy at LULU.com.

Fishing Lessons, Crawley's 12th novel, is not about the act of catching fish. The 110,000 word, mainstream novel is about life, love, and self-discovery. "It is about believing in yourself and others," John says. "It is about ignoring the critics and using your mind in following your heart along the Great Way."

Fishing Lessons Synopsis

Ever had something stolen out from under you - and by a close friend no less? The feeling of loss is huge. Anger brews deep inside, producing anxiety and a certain sense of betrayal - a hollowness. That is exactly how Marcos Ryan, a budding young author, feels when the love of his life is swept out of his life. The downward spiral begins. Then, when critics pan his latest work, he goes into free fall; and finally as his best friend pilfers the greatest novel of his career he is left wearing the badge of plagiarist, for the public to see. Short of a miracle, Marcos Ryan is ruined.

The only man who can save Ryan's career is the wealthy, powerful husband of the woman the writer has taken for his own lover. Besides the woman, the two men share one other thing - the teaching of fishing guide, Chief Robin Raintree. But have they heard his words the same? Have the Nootka Indian mystic's lessons made their point? Are the lessons powerful enough to save the day?
