Joe Mauro, a retired meteorologist has completed his new book "I Am Joe's Heart (Attack)": a gripping and potent biographical account of the author's life preceding and subsequent to the event of an unexpected heart attack.

The author holds two bachelor of science degrees: one from Southern Connecticut State College, in physical education. He graduated in 1979. The other was a degree at the University of Oklahoma that he received in 1984 in meteorology. His main job from 1985 through 2000 was as a meteorologist for a major corporate and aviation meteorology company in White Plains, New York. It was a commute of about fifty miles each away from where he lived, through heavy traffic, which he is convinced was a contributing factor to the heart attack.
