The story of two extraordinary creatures is about to unfold with the release of Joe H. Sherman's new book, "The Bloodline Chronicles: Vol. 1" (published by Trafford Publishing).

"I hope my readers enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it," says Sherman.

Sorram and Taurwin are two "were" brothers, anthro-type of creatures created for the military as a weapon. The two brothers find themselves in the medieval era on Earth, and it's anything but familiar. They must work together in order to blend in and be accepted by the new society. Their attempts to hide their strange abilities often lead to awkward and sometimes humorous situations, but there are more disastrous consequences if they can't hide their more violent and dangerous sides and avoid the ones that created them.

An excerpt from a review by Blueink Review:

"This novel, set in a pseudo-medieval fantasy world à la Fritz Leiber's iconic Nehwon realm, is a fast-paced, fun read that should appeal to fans of adventure and sword-and sorcery fantasy... Powered by a duo of dynamic characters, this novel is the beginning of what could be an excellent series, depending on where the author decides to take the storyline and how deeply he delves into the potentially profound themes surrounding the two unlikely heroes...A strong start to a potentially extraordinary series."

"I believe the book has a good balance between humor, tragedy and violence," writes Sherman. "The reader will love the main characters for their innocence and good nature, despite what they are. I try to give glimpses of their darker side as they keep it hidden from those they befriend."
