College Station, Texas

Stranded in despair, Shiloh Blomstedt wanders his late twenties desperate for stability. Silently, he attempts to balance trivial romance with his failing family. Shiloh's source of escape becomes a singing waitress, Charlie Rechner.

"Cats With Bows," a fictional romance novel written by author Jeffrey Louis is an investigation of relationships. Shiloh and Charlie are two characters that are simply complex. Shiloh is a steak and potatoes, family first character. He is plagued by his past and must control himself in order to keep his family stable. Charlie searches to fulfill her heart with anything promising. Her wanderlust desires of the heart lead her in and out of helpless situations. She tries to balance the moods that seem to determine her life.

As the two discover each other, shady pasts threaten to destroy the developing feelings. Tucked away in Kemah, Texas, Shiloh and Charlie thrust insecurities and hopes on each other, eager to soothe their struggles. As the new trust grows, Shiloh and Charlie must learn to conquer previous disappointments in order to cherish each other.

"Cats With Bows" is interesting because it can be a surface read or deep contemplation of inadequacy. It touches upon those feelings of trust, betrayals, disappointments, insecurities and hope that could possibly bring for a romantic relationship to blossom.
