2014 USA Best Book Finalist "It Burns a Lovely Light" goes to the heart of the Autism Community. The funny, heartbreaking, and occasionally dark story of an Autistic Young Man and his patchwork family has seen a surge in sales throughout April - National Autism Month.

International Organization Autism Speaks was the first of many Autism Groups and Organizations to recognize Pennington's debut novel. Autism Speaks now carries Pennington's novel in their on-line Parent's Resource Library. Over the past month, Pennington has appeared at numerous venues related to the Autistic Community in the Northern Virginia, Baltimore and Richmond areas.

"There is a particular beauty, innocence and honesty not only to William, but the group of characters he comes to call family, that resonates with readers," says Pennington, a former filmmaker and writer of short stories and essays.
