With the democracy and freedom of expression God bestowed to him in North America, Engineer Fazel Ahmed Afghan, MSc was inspired to dig out very painful truths about his beloved motherland, Afghanistan. In, "Conspiracies and Atrocities in Afghanistan" (published by Xlibris), he presents the link between various eras and major historic events, revealing a collection of unfortunate set of episodes that the nation has endured over the past 300 years.

The book aims to expose the facts about the Afghan and foreign conspiracies and atrocities which have, as a result, caused the backwardness of this nation. The subjects covered in the book look to bring to light the conspiracies and atrocities which is the key to uncovering the truth of what has occurred over the history of the country. Intrinsically motivated to understand his roots, his motherland and the cause for backwardness and suffering of Afghanistan, the author took this trip into the past and has finally completed, in the course of 30 years, the country's 300-year history.

It is the author's hope that this book will appeal not only to the historians of Afghanistan but also to students, human rights activists and peace loving individuals across the world who are seeking to understand the war in Afghanistan that is costing billions and killing thousands. He also encourages readers to look deeper or at least question the untold truths of why powers of the world have been so motivated to engage in Afghanistan. He highlights the need to ask questions and seek answers to understand how they got here and what must not be repeated again.

Enlightening and thought-provoking, this book takes readers from the Great Game to the Cold War and the modern War on Terror, letting them see the ensuing "Conspiracies and Atrocities in Afghanistan" and the toll they have taken on the nation and its people.
