Drema J. Poe's collection "Poetry to Encourage" (published by AuthorHouse) is, as she says, meant to "... describe some of the advantages of knowing Jesus for yourself."

"Poetry to Encourage" is a combination of three segments of Christian poetry. It is written simply and for all ages. The first segment deals with various topics that most Christians believe to be facts.

The section From Darkness to Light presents poetry about the Christian walk in more depth. Poe says, "My poetry deals with things like how to treat your neighbor to dealing with the loss of a loved one or dear friend."

The third section, A Refreshing, is a personal invitation from the author to anyone who doesn't know Christ as a savior, is meant to be used as a ministry tool to encourage disbelievers to embrace the Christian faith.

"It is my desire to let everyone know of the intense love that God has for us," Poe writes. "It is not his desire that any should perish, but all come to repentance. I'll be the first to admit that I am not by any means perfect. But, this doesn't stop me from pressing toward the mark."

"Poetry to Encourage," inspired by Poe's own lifetime in a Christian home, is available now from online booksellers.
