A series of daily devotions revealing God's work during author Judi Collins' darkest days, "Devotions from Moose Manor: A Tale of Forgiveness" (published by WestBow Press) centers on Matthew 6:12: "And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors."

"After 28 years of marriage, I was pushed aside for 'greener pastures,'" Collins explains. "My house was foreclosed upon, the family business I ran crumbled, and in financial bankruptcy, my family was displaced. Jesus said: 'Forgive as you are forgiven.' But I couldn't get there. Jesus had forgiven me long ago. Now it was my turn to forgive others. Two years alone in a cottage with my journal brought me to the place of forgiveness."

That cottage - located in Alpharetta, Georgia - has been dubbed "Moose Manor" by Collins, and her aptly named devotional reflects the power of forgiveness and invites readers to understand its incredible power. "You have limited control," Collins says. "But when you choose Christ as your eternal companion, you will not only 'win the race,' you will soar."

An excerpt from "Devotions from Moose Manor":
All God's kids go through labor of one kind or another. Deliveries are neither easy nor predictable. But if you carve a place for Him in your emptiness and fill it with expectation, His gift will come in the right amount of time. And it's always perfect.
