David Imhotep Ph.D., remembers that in school, people have learned this: "In 1400 and 92 Columbus sailed the ocean blue, he sailed and sailed and sailed and sailed and found this land for me and you." Imhotep narrates that when Columbus reached the Americas, he found Natives who looked like the people of India: dark complected with long hair and was the first to call them Indians; Columbus thought he had found the short cut to India for the spice trade. The problem was, according to Imhotep, America got in the way.

Columbus, as what the author tells, wrote Lord Raphael Sanchez that the Indians were giving, sharing and loved all. In Hans Koning's book "Columbus," Father de Fonseca wrote that the second trip in 1495 turned into a giant slave raid, and only 300 arrived in Spain. Oxford's David Stannard wrote, "A loss of over 95% of the hypothetical 100-million Indians sounds like a Holocaust began because of Columbus."

In a studious & well-researched book entitled, "The First Americans Were Africans" (published by AuthorHouse), scholar and author, David Imhotep Ph.D., lectures to colleges and universities in the U.S. and abroad. Imhotep holds a doctorate in Ancient African Studies from Union Institute and University, Cincinnati, Ohio, which he received in 2007. A Black historian since 1985, Imhotep was a consultant with Miami Dade County Public Schools' Multicultural Board, and was the coordinator for Dade County's 500 African Role Model Program for inner city youth. "This 450-page historical piece is well worth the read," the author says.
