Daniel Thornton has always enjoyed the history of the world and after learning at a young age about the Native American and Asian cultures and people, he was compelled to learn more. This lifelong interest prompted him to write "Kajora," (published by Xlibris) a story of dreams and goals everyone carries in their lives.

This book is about a young boy who is the result of a merging of two different groups of people as he is half-Indian and half-Japanese. It follows his journey from wide eyed youth, to scorned and banished samurai, to a man filled with depression as he tried to regain his former life.

"This story is filled with hardship and mystery," says Thornton. "Our would-be hero seemingly faces one obstacle after another, while attempting to find peace. At the center of 'Kajora' are historical facts that are still taught throughout most of Asia, but would be considered 'new' to most outside of that area of the world. The lead character's plight of hardship is one that will endear his struggles to any reader."

The hurdles, goals and dreams that are laid out for "Kajora" are timeless because the author believes that ultimately, they are things every one seeks. The mystery within this story will keep readers eager to flip from one page to the next.
