Charles Young Releases LETTERS FROM THE ATTIC

Set at a time of war, this new book recalls author Charles Young's life, as relived through a collection of letters discovered hidden away in his attic.

In this story, readers will travel back at a significant time in history, World War II. When the war broke out, Young was just a boy who was deeply in love with a girl named Launa. Inseparable, the two would meet in a nearby park on the night of the full moon. What was once a love blossoming came to an abrupt end when their secret rendezvous was discovered and Launa was sent away. There was nothing else that would keep them together, except their letters.

"Letters from the Attic" also describes how the war had influenced the lives of millions, not only those on the battlefield but also those at home. It also offers a unique perspective on how the motives of war at present are far different from those during World War II.

Overall, this landmark book chronicles a journey through the past, explicitly illustrating how significant it is in molding people's present characters and attitudes towards life.

About the Author
Charles Young, who is now retired after teaching thirty years in Greece, has a Master's degree from Columbia University and completed additional studies at Central Connecticut, Wesleyan and Yale Universities. He has previously published five books, including two bestsellers in Greece. He has three children. With his wife Mary, he divides his time between Hydra, Greece and Madison, Connecticut.
