From author Kevin Roy McGraw, a man who has suffered life's most terrible illnesses, like brain cancer and Multiple Myeloma, comes an awe-inspiring memoir plunges readers into life's darkest moments then elevates them to its most triumphant joys. Pheidippides & Me is Kevin Roy McGraw's newly published autobiography that shares his remarkable journey through captivating words and images that readers-primarily his family, relatives and friends-will treasure for a lifetime.

"I wrote this book because I wanted to say that I love you to my family and my friends, and especially to my wife, Jen, and two children, Lyle and Kate," shares McGraw. "The first part of our life journey was amazing. The second part began after I got cancer at age 46 (brain cancer in 2005, Multiple Myeloma in 2008). So, with Jen's help, I am learning to positively live with cancer. Maybe writing this book will teach me a better part of life. Some people get cancer that they cannot do anything about. Luckily, I'm able to keep going, as I have two cancers in remission."

Pheidippides & Me is a memento of beautifully touching stories and over 200 pictures that tell the story of a life well lived. This book is about experiencing moments in time. It is humorous, quirky and begs for an unfound journey to go along with cancer. Readers will hear about many people who are wonderful and who have changed other's lives.

Cancer is a very prevalent concern in today's society. Everyone knows how cancer is a killer. However, McGraw believes and has proven that people can live with it also. They only need to be strong-minded and willing to persevere. Since, there is no cure for cancer yet, McGraw proposes perseverance as a means to overcome cancer; if not in his lifetime, then perhaps in the near future.

This book teaches readers how to keep on living with those whom they love and with an illness like such as cancer that afflicts them. Not one to sink with negativity, McGraw balances his story by observing odd and funny moments in time and sharing them openly.

Set in Canada and California, with the author surrounded by family and friends, Pheidippides & Me is a great personal and familial story that never fails to strike the deepest recesses of the human soul. McGraw invites everyone-those suffering from terminal illnesses and those with loved ones who suffer from them-to read and be inspired by his courageous life-changing bout against trials and tribulations and his eventual triumphs.

McGraw leaves these words to his readers: "I am showing that a positive mind can overcome. And still be happy. Love the ones you are with. Think positively and persevere."
