New York Times bestselling author Joe Hill will discuss and sign his newest book, "The Fireman," on Tuesday, June 21 at 6 p.m. at the South Portland Books-A-Million, located at 430 Gorham Road. Guests will enjoy a conversation and Q&A session, followed by the book signing.

In addition to the recently released "The Fireman," Hill, who is the son of authors Stephen and Tabitha King, has published three other novels-"Heart-Shaped Box," "Horns" and "NOS4A2"-and a collection of short stories titled "20th Century Ghosts." He is also the author of the comic book series "Locke & Key."

"The Fireman" is a chilling, post-apocalyptic novel about a worldwide pandemic of spontaneous combustion that threatens to reduce civilization to ashes and a band of improbable heroes who battle to save it, led by one powerful and enigmatic man known as the Fireman.
