Barnes & Noble and NOOK Launch First Annual Readers' Choice Newsstand Awards

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE:BKS) and NOOK Media LLC, today announced the 1st Annual Readers' Choice Newsstand Awards, a unique opportunity for readers to vote for their favorite newsstand content and discover great magazines. From October 20, through November 19, readers can vote for their favorite content from a select list of categories at www.nook.com/readerschoice. Each category has four nominees to choose from and all nominated content will be available to be read for free online with a dedicated reading experience that is optimized for PCs, tablets and smartphones. Nominated content can also be shared with friends and family via Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and more. The categories for the 2014 Readers' Choice Newsstand Awards are as follows:
