Children's book author Olga M. Perez and illustrator Leticia O. Lopez just recently launched "Fright Under the Moonlight," an intriguing children's picture book that captivated young readers with spooky sounds that lurk and linger when darkness falls. Without resting, Perez and Lopez swiftly return to dazzle more young readers with yet another delightful children's tale in The Unstung Hero.

Getting stung, whether it is by a bee, or a scorpion, or stingray, is definitely not fun. This amusing new tale follows a group of animals - some chicken, horse, duck, wolf and a turkey - who passes by a shady tree. One by one they get stung by a swarm of bees. Are the bees really as unkind as we think they may be, or can kindness touch their lives and change them for the better? Lou-Lou the mouse is off on a new adventure. Will she be stung and score a zero, or will she be "The Unstung Hero?" Young readers will just have to read and find out.

When asked about the inspiration behind the book, Perez mentioned that it was primarily because of the desire and passion to spread kindness. Hence, its simple yet clear message is to encourage readers to follow the golden rule: "Treat others the way you want them to treat you." It teaches children to always react with kind acts, thoughts and words. The storyline and lyrical verses are indeed creative means to foster good character building.

With Lopez' trademark beautiful, eye-catching illustrations and Perez' fun and inspiring lyrical verses, The Unstung Hero will guarantee to turn anyone's sting into sweet honey. Lopez and Perez have finally found the perfect formula - their effective one-two punch, or sting - that will never fail to entertain and educate children each time.
