HOUSTON

Karen J Chisholm loves the Lord and these poems and writings come from her early morning quiet time with God. The second book of her Poems Inspired by God series, "Tough as Nails" (published by Xlibris) is heavily reflective of the author's belief that "God is getting serious!" in talking with his children and the people who still do not know him.

"I want them to hear His words for themselves: His acceptance of us the way we are with all our faults, His encouragement, His direction, His presence with us, His greater plan and how our lives are a part of that," Chisholm says.

"Tough as Nails" is a look at the Heavenly Father's thoughts toward mankind, filled with his words of encouragement for their struggles. It is him calling people to serve Him, the God of the universe and the King of kings, the one who wants to help man and wrap him in his loving arms.

Through her heavenly inspired pieces of rhythm and rhyme, Chisholm gives readers a front row seat to hear God's call to the man He has chosen for his purpose. With her poetry guided by God's hand, they get to see the devil's methods from God's perspective; and can therefore avoid being trapped.
