GREENSBOROUGH, Australia

New author E. Mann takes on the real world issues of world peace, religious strife, deadly disease and environmentalism in his new sci-fi novel, "The Leader of the World: The Last Messenger" (published by Balboa Press).

"We all have individual concepts of general knowledge, current affairs, religions, political matters, etc.," Mann writes. "I have written this book simply using my concepts of all I have read, witnessed, heard or experienced in life. My views will, no doubt, not be agreed on by many, and for this, I ask your tolerance."

"The Leader of the World" starts with a naked man, Daniel, found wandering in a remote corner of the Australian wilds. Believing that he alone has been sent as God's messenger to save humanity, Daniel cautiously embarks on his mission, recruiting helpers as he goes and trying to get the inhabitants of earth back on the right path. If only he knew how much time he was given to do his work.

The Creator has mandated that Daniel find a way for all faiths to become one. He must also stop the wholesale destruction of animals and ecosystems, solve the worldwide AIDS crisis and put an end to hunger and poverty. He has been tasked with eradicating the insidious sickness of pedophilia and all other threats against children, and he must somehow hit upon a solution to the unsolvable conflict in the Middle East. Will the miracles Daniel sets about to accomplish come to fruition? Or will humanity find its own end before he can attain his goal?

"I want readers to take away how important it is to respect our world and all that is in it," Mann explains. "I want them to come away with a sense of respect and tolerance for all the different beliefs of the many people who live on this speck of dust in the never ending universe."
