After enticing fantasy readers within the Dallas/Fort Worth area, author Demethius Jackson now intends to expand his readership through a newly initiated Kickstarter campaign.
His novel, "The Realmsic Conquest: The Hero of Legend," (348 pages, ISBN: 978-1500596118 - Idea Fortress Publishing July 2014), is the first installment of a three part series he often promotes as Self-Help Fantasy. The series gained traction through Dallas-based fan expos such as Dallas ComicCon. Now, Jackson is using his Kickstarter campaign to expand awareness of his new genre and to promote literacy among school-aged children. The collected pledges will be used not only to promote the series, but also to provide free school appearances and library readings throughout Dallas/Fort Worth. The book series follows the compelling saga of the fictional, Realm, earth's only magical kingdom. Invaluable life-lessons are presented throughout the story as the characters struggle to end an eternal war caused by their magic. Jackson believes readers of all ages will strongly identify with his characters and the problems they confront, and will be inspired "to overcome their own life's challenges. Hence, the self-helping aspect of the novels."Videos
