According to author Allean, many people are not aware of the pitfalls of getting caught up in the supernatural. By exploring these happenings, readers will become cognizant of the hazards of becoming involved with the occult and the possible impending, deadly outcome in this true story that spans over eight decades, "Metamorphosis: My Journey to the Spiritual from the Occult" (published by Balboa Press).

"My journey into the dark realm of the supernatural came about in a seemingly innocent manner. By attempting to learn of the future, I almost lost it," Allean explains. "Dark entities strived to control my mind and I had to fight to return. It was only by the grace of God that I was not taken over by evil spirits."

Through a series of vignettes, Allean reveals how the occult had a negative effect on her life - and the steps she took to see her way out of this "dark realm." Allean describes a scene in which she and her sister were almost possessed by a demon spirit after using a Ouija board, and saved only by the power of their mother's prayers.

"I obtained God's peace by turning to Him and resolving not to walk down that path any longer," says Allean. "I want the readers of my book to realize that being intrigued with the occult is not a game; it can become a deadly hazard."
