Returning home drunk from a Saturday night party, Martha informs her professor husband, George, that she has invited a young couple-a new professor at the college and his stunningly naïve new bride-to stop by for a nightcap. Let the charade begin! The drinks flow and inhibitions fall as George and Martha introduce the newly arrived couple to life at the University
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf features Dawn M. Sargent as Martha, Kevin Sean Sweeney as George, Kiefer Santiago Schenk as Nick and Sarah Kingsley as Honey and is directed by WallByrd Theatre's artistic director Virginia Monte, an innovative and highly visual Theatrical Director. Virginia has directed/designed productions regionally throughout the United States, working for companies such as Godlight Theatre (NYC), Oran Mor (Glasgow), and the Rochester Shakespeare Players (NY). A few of Virginia's Rochester theatre productions include The Two Gentlemen of Verona and Romeo and Juliet at The Highland Bowl; Macbeth, The Taming of the Shrew, and The Importance of Being Earnest at the Lyric Theatre, and The Winter's Tale. Virginia holds a BA in Fine Art from Stetson University, as well as an MA in Directing for Classical and Contemporary Text from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
