The Alleyway Theatre has announced that its offerings for the remainder of 2012 include Road Kill, The Last Five Years and A Christmas Carol.

The fall/winter season kicks off with Road Kill on September 13 and runs through October 6. Winner of the 2011 Maxim Mazumdar New Play Competition, Road Kill is written by Karen JP Howes and will be directed by Neal Radice. In the piece, time moves in reverse as a small country diner plays host to a series of surprising characters and mysterious goings on. Nobody seems to be running the place and to make matters worse, the fat lady in the bathroom won’t open the door...

On the heels of Road Kill will be Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years, presented by TBD. The production will run from October 11 through October 14, featuring Christopher Wietig and Leah Schneider. The Last Five Years is a two-character musical that starts at the end of a five year relationship for her, but at the beginning for him. The production will run Thursday-Saturday at 8 PM
and Sunday at 2PM.

2012 will close out with A Christmas Carol. The Charles Dickens’ classic is adapted and directed by Neal Radice and will run from December 6 through December 16. Beloved British actor John Smeathers, who has played Ebenezer Scrooge for the past 15 years, returns to Buffalo for one last time. This will be his final performance as the old miser before retiring from the role.
