NYC sketch group SOAP will host three different performances of "The Messy Show" this summer at a secret DIY outdoor venue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The first show will take place on Saturday, June 10 at 8:00 p.m., with two more completely different shows to follow on July 15 and August 19.

"The Messy Show" is a comedy variety show in which the only requirement is for each comedian to perform their messiest bit on stage, no holds barred, and has been called "part SNL, part Jackass, part 90s Nickelodeon slime show."

The show will feature performances by a mix of sketch, improv and standup acts from premiere NYC comedy destinations like The Annoyance Theater and Upright Citizens Brigade, including Carmen Christopher and Danny Groh. Bits may include fake blood, fake pee, kiddie pools, cake, balloons, motor oil, dirt, clam chowder, ice cream, an incest baby with no body that lives in a bucket, and milk.

Tickets for the June 10 performance are $7 and doors will open at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the door only. Interested attendees need to RSVP here, and will receive an email with the secret address the day before the event.

"'The Messy Show' is a liberating experience for comedians and performers who feel limited by the confines of an indoor venue, and who just want to let their freak flags fly," said SOAP's Andrew Benedict. "SOAP is looking forward to a summer filled with the most outrageous shit you can imagine, and welcoming a slew of newcomers to Brooklyn's messiest comedy show."

"The Messy Show" made its debut in September 2015 in Williamsburg with the promise of featuring "all bits too messy to do indoors." It quickly gained an impressive following and the group has since continued to host multiple shows each year. Past "Messy Shows" have included performances from Brett Davis (HBO), Dan Chamberlain (Above Average), Annie Donley (IFC), Anthony Oberbeck (Just For Laughs), Murf Meyer & Diana Kolsky (IFC), Murderfist (Adult Swim), Sandy Honig and Alyssa Stonoha ("Three Busy Debras"), Eric Yearwood (UCB), Riley Soloner (The Chris Gethard Show), and of course, SOAP. Highlights included a Star Wars fanboy ejaculating from excitement via a fire extinguisher contraption in his clothes, a wet T-shirt eating contest, a motor oil shower, and a giant ice cream sundae.

"The Messy Show" has been featured on Bedford + Bowery and Comedy Cake, and has been called "raw and wriggly" and "a gem." The last show took place in February at Superchief Gallery, a performance art venue in Bushwick, and included a singing cupcake, a sexpert couple, a human-sized Trump puppet controlled by Steve Bannon, and plenty of blow-up dolls and dildos.

SOAP, the hosts and creators of "The Messy Show", are a sketch group made up of Andrew Benedict, Ben Hosley, Erin Coughlin and Joel Straley. They perform regularly at The Annoyance Theater, Upright Citizens Brigade, The PIT, and Union Hall. SOAP has performed at NYC Sketch Fest and Philly Sketch Fest. Their Brooklyn Public Access TV show won the BRIC Arts Media B Artistic Award in 2015, and they've been featured on McSweeney's, Funny or Die, Comedy Cake, Huffington Post, UCB Comedy, and Red Hot Video Fun Time.
