Awarding-winning Gallery Players continues its history of "bringing Broadway to Brooklyn" as they celebrate a landmark with the announcement of their 50th Season.
Their Golden Anniversary season opens with a bang on September 17th with the Jule Styne-Stephen Sondheim Broadway classic, Gypsy. The momentum builds as the Tony-winning comedy, The 39 Steps, opens October 29th, followed by Aaron Sorkin's acclaimed courtroom drama, A Few Good Men, on December 3rd, and Sondheim's Marry Me a Little on January 26th. Marry Me a Little will play in repertory with Clark Gesner's You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Rounding out the mainstage season is Tennessee Williams' Sweet Bird of Youth, opening March 11th, and the Stephen Flaherty-Lynn Ahrens-Terrence McNally Tony-winning epic, Ragtime opening April 22nd.
Following the mainstage season is the 20th annual Black Box New Play Festival in June, which premieres new one-act and full-length plays by local playwrights developed and honed through a playwright-driven collaborative process aimed at polishing their craft.
