Flipping Into Brooklyn! ACROBATIC CONUNDRUM Performs 10/12-14 Critics are calling Acrobatic Conundrum one of the most important artistic voices in the modern circus uprising. This September, the one-of-a-kind Acrobatic Conundrum makes their way to New York for 3 performances in Brooklyn with The Fig Tree Waltzes.

The show follows a group of performers whose virtuosio athletic feats are offset with the fragilites of humanity, and the inevitable risks of passion and love. In a world where stakes are high and time is running out, The Fig Tree Waltzes is a tribute to the human drive to keep playing against overwhelming odds. This evening-length performance weaves together acrobatics, dance, Cyr wheel, storytelling, juggling, and aerial feats into a unique and unforgettable evening.

This new work features choreography from Costa Rican choreographer Jimmy Ortiz Chinchilla. Founder of the renowned El Barco Dance Conservatory and a professor of dance at Universidad de Costa Rica, Jimmy's playful and surprisingly athletic dance style is considered one of the major influences in Central American modern dance.

This work has been supported in part by Lake Placid Center for the Arts, Lake Placid, NY.
