BAMkids Movie Matinees Lineup Announced At BAM

BAM curates a selection of international, independent, and classic movies perfect for film-going families. The winter/spring season includes an adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island starring the Muppets, Dutch stop motion animation Miffy, the Oscar-nominated time traveling Japanese animation Mirai, the best of the 2019 BAMkids Film Festival, and a selection from the 2019 FilmAfrica festival.

Feb 24: Muppet Treasure Island (1996) 99min

The Muppets and human stars Tim Curry, Jennifer Saunders, and Billy Connolly bring Robert Louis Stevenson's classic adventure to life.

Mar 31: Miffy the Movie (2013) 68min

In this Dutch stop motion animation, based on the book series by Dutch artist Dick Bruna, the titular rabbit and her animal friends go on a treasure hunt at the zoo.

Apr 7: Mirai (2018) 98min

In this Japanese animation, a young boy travels through time meeting relatives from different eras, guided by a future version of his younger sister. Nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 91st Academy Awards.

May 5: Best of BAMkids Film Festival 2019 90min

A selection of the most popular films from this year's BAMkids Film Festival, including the "BAMmie" award winner for best short film as selected by the 2019 festival attendees.
