AMERICAN CANDY: OUTRAGEOUS BEHAVIOR!!! Comes to the Actors Fund Arts Center This Weekend

By:

AMERICAN CANDY: Outrageous Behavior!!! will be performed this weekend, February 14, 15 and 16, 2014 at the Actors Fund Arts Center in Downtown Brooklyn.

AMERICAN CANDY had a wildly successful 2013, with a packed show at BAM Café in October, performances at Comic Strip Live and with Brown Girls Burlesque and a succession of sold out shows at their new home, the Actors Fund Arts Center. And recently AMERICAN CANDY was invited to perform at newly elected Brooklyn Councilmember Laurie Cumbo's inauguration.

It's no doubt AMERICAN CANDY is quickly becoming one New York City's most popular sketch groups. Their next performance brings several of the fans' favorite sketches and songs back by popular demand. With nearly five years' worth of material to draw from, AMERICAN CANDY: Outrageous Behavior!!! gives the audience the best of the best, the very funniest and most audacious of past shows including: "Sugar Man," "Cocoanut Grove," "Slave Workout," "Real Housewives of Brooklyn," "Street Meat," and "Motherland." The show includes a special guest performance by Brown Girls Burlesque.

AMERICAN CANDY has built a successful series by defying the stereotype that all comedy is the provenance of young white men. With a multi-cultural cast and team of both female and male writers, the material has a wide appeal. AMERICAN CANDY has been offering sketch comedy to extremely receptive audiences in Manhattan and Brooklyn since June of 2009. Past themes have included Politics As Usual, The History of Sex, The Super 70s, The Wild, Wild West and Back to School. AMERICAN CANDY has an energetic troupe of talented actors and a strong base of writers and directors and is fast becoming a comedy institution in New York City. What better way to spend Valentine's Day weekend than laughing with someone you love?

Performances are at the beautiful state of the art Actors Fund Arts Center, the home for the best sketch comedy in NYC. The theatre is conveniently located at 160 Schermerhorn Street in Downtown Brooklyn.

With a $20 ticket price that includes a pre-show OPEN WINE BAR, AMERICAN CANDY is the best entertainment value in New York City! For more info, visit http://hollieharper.wix.com/americancandy. Most shows do sell out, so advanced reservations are strongly recommended. Priority seating is given to advance ticket holders.
