Sam Shepard

Fool for Love, which won the Obie Award for Best New American Play in 1984, was also nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama that year. Shepard adapted his play for the screen and starred as Eddie in Robert Altman's critically-acclaimed 1985 film.
