WOMEN OF LETTERS Return to The Zoo Next Month

By: May. 23, 2017
The bestselling international literary salon WOMEN OF LETTERS is making its way back to Brisbane on Sunday 18th June.

New host and co-curator Angie Hart along with founding co-curator Marieke Hardy will be presenting their Brisbane Women of Letters event at their fondly adopted home The Zoo, Fortitude Valley.

They will welcome a distinctly distinguished line-up featuring:

  • Actor, writer, theatre-maker, slam poet MERLYNN TONG
  • Veteran journalist, ABC's Landline television presenter PIP COURTNEY
  • Theatre director, co-founder of independent theatre company, 'Arthur', PAIGE RATTRAY
  • Beloved film, television and theatre actor SIBYLLA BUDD
  • Writer, youth arts facilitator, creator of Claire & Pearl CLAIRE CHRISTIAN
  • Sisters Inside CEO, former prisoner, criminal defence lawyer DEBBIE KILROY

These highly esteemed women will each be penning 'A Letter to My Second Chance'. There'll be wine, cheese plates and dedicated ink to aerogrammes and postcards, all in homage to the beautiful lost art of letter writing.

Join us for a most pleasant afternoon celebrating a diverse range of strong female talent whilst simultaneously supporting the ongoing work of the wonderful Edgar's Mission, Victorian animal rescue shelter (https://www.edgarsmission.org.au/)

With our ridiculously reasonable ticket pricing, these shows sell out faster than piping hot pikelets, so do be quick. WE DON'T WANT YOU TO MISS OUT!
