Joshua Bell belongs to the select group of musicians who have achieved the unusual position of superstar in the world of concert music. Admired for his stage presence as well as for his virtuosity, he first performed at the age of 12 with the Philadelphia Orchestra, conducted by Riccardo Muti. Today, numerous awards distinguish his discography of more than 40 titles. Winner of the Avery Fisher Prize in 2007, the violinist was appointed in 2011 as artistic director of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, one of the most celebrated chamber orchestras in activity in the world.
