On the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, reflect with us on America’s ongoing project to secure the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all. This final concert of the season explores American music’s role in the development of our “more perfect Union,” bringing us together around its many voices – traditional American sacred and secular tunes, protest songs, jazz standards, and contemporary choral works from diverse perspectives. As we all celebrate this monumental occasion in different ways, this concert will invite us to seek what we hold dear about this land together, from sea to shining sea.
