O.W.I. (Bureau of Theatre), recently nominated for Best Visiting Production for Keith Hamilton Cobb's American Moor by the Independent Reviewers of New England, presents the World premiere of BERLIN; OR, THE PART OF YOU THAT WANTS IT: A MUSICAL COMEDY LOVE STORY (WRITTEN BY ACCIDENT), written by Shaoul Rick Chason and directed by Pete Riesenberg. Performances take place April 19 - May 12, 2018 in the Studio at Central Square Theatre (450 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA). Press night, Thursday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets from $25-$35, are on sale now.

A genderqueer look at sexual predation by O.W.I. resident playwright Shaoul Rick Chason, "Berlin; or, The Part of You That Wants it: A Musical Comedy Love Story (Written by Accident)" is an irreverent vaudeville about an American rapist who goes to Berlin and inadvertently starts a genderfucked feminist revolution of anarchy and turmoil, staged in a Brechtian burlesque of epic theatre. With Eric McGowan, Erin Reilly and Patrick McCarthy.

From the playwright, Shaoul Rick Chason, "I wrote BERLIN out of a desire to critique a new trend... Our communities of thought, despite noble aims, are actively encouraging anti-intellectual, morally simplistic discourse on the complicated issues of gender identity, race relations, and politics that ultimately stifle progressive liberation of oppression more than they support said liberation."
