The Longwood Players Present YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN 11/13-21

By:

In celebration of our newest program, which successfully brought the performing arts to low-income children in the Cambridge Y summer camp, The Longwood Players proudly presents the family-friendly favorite, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.

In residence at the Cambridge YMCA Theatre, The Longwood Players opens its 12th season with the "gentle, wise, and very cheering musical entertainment" (The New York Times) of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (1999 revival).

Based on Peanuts, this endearing musical comedy captures the comic strip sketches we all know and love, including such classics as the football toss, Snoopy's infamous Red Baron, and that ever-elusive little red-headed girl. Perfect for the family but not just for kids, Charlie Brown will delight and entertain theater-goers of all ages, from its bright morning beginning to enchanting starlit evening at day's end. Don't miss this quintessential feel-good musical!

You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown stars Matthew Finn as Charlie Brown, alongside Michael Chateauneuf (Schroeder), Ian Flynn (Linus), Jason Luciana (Snoopy), April Pressel (Sally), and Rachel Savage (Lucy). The ensemble includes Hilary Chadwick, Virginia DeMoss, Ilana Friedman, Christian Hegg, Siobhaun Maus, and Aaron Moronez. The show is directed by Kaitlyn Chantry, whose previous directing credits include The Longwood Players' tenth season productions of The Importance of Being Earnest and She Loves Me, which were nominated for 1 IRNE (Best Ensemble) and for 23 DASH awards, winning 8. The production is music directed by Karin Denison.
