The Bronx Wanderers Come to the Colonial Tonight

By:

The Bronx Wanderers will transport you back to the malt shop as they perform hits by Dion & The Belmonts, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Johnny Maestro & The Brooklyn Bridge, The Bee Gees, The Beatles and more at The Colonial Theatre tonight, April 27 at 8pm.

Tickets to the Bronx Wanderers are $15-$35. Tickets may be purchased in person at The Colonial Theatre Ticket Office at 111 South Street Pittsfield, MA 01201 or by calling (413) 997-4444 or online at www.BerkshireTheatreGroup.org. The Ticket Office is open Monday-Friday 10am–5pm, Saturdays 10am–2pm or on any performance day from 10am until intermission.

With superlative vocals and musicianship, dynamic enthusiasm and a genuine love of the music they perform, The Bronx Wanderers recreate the magic of the era and build an energetic bond with their audience, guaranteeing an evening of toe-tapping, hand-clapping and dancing in the aisles all night long. Their show tells the stories and plays the music that will take you as close as you can get to having lived the actual experience of The Bronx in the ‘50s and ‘60s. The Wanderers arrive at every show with new material all the time but never leave out the favorites that their fans and audiences have come to love. Not to be forgotten, are the popular Frankie Valli medleys that this group “nails” say the critics. "It never gets old,” says lead singer Yo’ Vinny, “It just doesn't get better than this. We don't rest on our laurels. We never will."

Actor Danny Aiello says it best when he introduces the band with an opening narrative, "Being a teenager on an avenue in the Bronx back in the '50s and early '60s was unlike being a kid anywhere else in the universe. There was a magic in the air that blended right in with the sweet aroma of Mama’s cooking. It was the liberating sound of doo-wop and rock and roll. This music had heart, soul, purity and a sound... oh the sound...tunes that made you want to dance...harmonies that made you high...lyrics that once in a while, even made you cry." The Bronx Wanderers capture the essence of that '50s and '60s music as well as anyone can.
