In conjunction with its current production of Top Girls, Huntington Theatre Company will host several special events and post-show conversations. Admission to onsite post-show events is free with a ticket to Top Girls, available online, by phone at 617 266 0800, or in person at the Huntington Avenue Theatre (264 Huntington Avenue) and Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA (527 Tremont Street) box offices. Tickets start at $25. Performances run through May 20, 2018 at the Avenue of the Arts / Huntington Avenue Theatre.

POST-SHOW AUDIENCE CONVERSATIONS
After select Fri. - Sun. evening, Wed. matinee, Sat. matinee, and Sun. matinee performances throughout the run. An opportunity for audience members to discuss what they have seen, led by members of the Huntington staff.

ASL-INTERPRETED PERFORMANCES

Friday, May 4 at 8pm
The Huntington Theatre Company offers ASL interpretation for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing at designated performances.

Seating for ASL-interpretation is in the orchestra, house left. Tickets are $20 each for Deaf patrons and a guest. To reserve tickets, contact the Access Coordinator at 617 273 1558 or by email.

AUDIO DESCRIBED PERFORMANCES

Saturday, May 5 at 2pm
Audio Description is a live narration of the visual aspects of a performance. It is broadcast via radio transmitter to patrons, who wear a single headphone receiver enabling them to hear both the on-stage dialogue and the describer's narration.

Headsets must be reserved and limited seating is available. Braille and large print programs are available at the performances. Plan to arrive 30 minutes early for audio described program notes and set description. Guide dogs are welcome. Tickets are $20 for each blind/low-vision patron and a guest. HUMANITIES FORUM: TRAILBLAZING WOMEN DISCUSS WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A "TOP GIRL"

Sunday, May 6 after the 2pm performance, an ArtWeek event

Join our panel of accomplished women leaders for an in-depth discussion about their lives and experiences and what it means to be a "top girl" today. Admission is free with the purchase of a ticket to any performance of Top Girls. Panelists include:

  • Moderator: Joyce Kulhawik, Emmy Award-winning Arts and Entertainment Critic
  • Ruthanne Fuller, Mayor of Newton
  • Joyce Linehan, Chief of Policy for Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh

The Huntington is proud to be supporting Mayor Martin J. Walsh's pay equity model by serving as a host for Work Smart in Boston salary negotiation workshops.

Work Smart in Boston is a salary negotiation workshop program provided in partnership by the Mayor's Office of Women's Advancement at the City of Boston and the American Association of University Women (AAUW). These FREE workshops teach women how to determine their market worth based on their skills, experience, performance, qualifications, and responsibilities on the job.

Boston Globe features writer Beth Teitell will lead a post-show conversation with Kerry Healey, President of Babson College, and Sonia Chang-Díaz, Massachusetts State Senator, about their experiences as "top girls" and accomplished women leaders following the performance.
