The Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) committee has just announced its 2010 IRNE Award nominations, and Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston has earned 17 for its 2010 season. Included in the Large Theater category, Reagle Music Theatre is judged alongside Boston's Huntington Theatre Company, Cambridge's A.R.T., Trinity Repertory Company of Providence, RI, Maine's Ogunquit Playhouse, and the North Shore Music Theatre of Beverly.

"As always, we are deeply grateful to the IRNE voters for the tremendous support and visibility they extend to regional theater companies throughout New England," says Robert Eagle, producing artistic director of Reagle Music Theatre. "They see hundreds of shows a year in houses large and small. Without them, many wonderful productions would receive little or no attention. They are true advocates of the arts, and we applaud them."

Reagle Music Theatre's nominations for 2010 include the following:

"Into the Woods" (8) - best musical; actress, Rachel York; supporting actress, McCaela Donovan and Shannon Lee Jones; music director, Charles Pelz; director, Stacey Stephens; set design, Janie Howland; costumes, Stacey Stephens

"Hairspray" (8) - best musical; best ensemble; actor, Dan Dowling; actress, Marissa Perry; supporting actor, John Macero; music director, Daniel Rodriquez; director, Todd Michael Smith and Judine Somerville; choreography, Todd Michael Smith and Judine Somerville

"Uptown/Downtown" - solo performance, Leslie Uggams
