Photo Flash: First Look at CLUBLAND Premiere at A.R.T's Oberon
Retrop Productions presents the premiere of AnDrew Barret Cox's CLUBLAND: The Monster Pop Party at the American Repertory Theater's Oberon on April 11 and 12.

Based on the book/?lm "Party Monster" by James St. James, CLUBLAND dives into the extravagant lifestyle of ClubKids (ambassadors of the drug-induced dancehall culture that made headlines in the early 1990s). The events and characters of CLUBLAND mirror real life Club Kids Michael Alig, James St. James, and the murder of Andre "Angel" Melendez.
Tickets for Clubland begin at $15, and are available for purchase online now. The performance schedule for CLUBLAND is as follows: April 11 at 8pm, and April 12 at 8pm and 10:30pm.
James St. James, Los Angeles personality and author of Disco Bloodbath (aka Party Monster) says, "It has always been my dream to see my book be made into either a big Broadway musical or a Saturday morning cartoon. Jacob and Andrew are going to make one of those dreams come true!"
Featuring the book, music and lyrics of AnDrew Barret Cox, CLUBLAND is a wholly immersive experience that truly comes alive in a venue like Oberon. Oberon is a thriving incubator for emerging ar5sts to imagine new projects that could only exist in this exci5ng club theater club theater environment. CLUBLAND relaunched the Oberon's New Works Series and much anticipated production.
Leading the cast are Eric Maxwell as James St. James and Charles ManOone as Michael Alig with Manny Avellanet, Kenneth Miller, Kyla Walker, Michelle Geosits, Austyn Davis, Daniel Gold, Melanie Porras, Andrew Rodriguez, Arnie Rodriguez, Jess Barstis, Alexa Bouchard, and Wendy O'Byrne.
