PRIME RIBBING Plays Steps Off Broadway Theater 4/29-5/1

By:

PRIME RIBBING will be making its World Premiere at Steps, and Bellingham's up and coming theatre company couldn't be more excited and proud.

In the grand tradition of parody shows such as Capitol Steps and Forbidden Broadway, as well as famous theatre company groups such as "Mad TV," "Saturday Night Live," and "Second City," Prime Ribbing takes liberal swings at proverbial chins of local, national and world leaders and predicaments.

The show is written by musical comedy veteran Stephan de Ghelder, who appeared in the original Broadway runs of A Chorus Line, Hello Dolly!, and Celebration, and who boasts an impressive list of directing, writing and choreography credits for Broadway, Off-Broadway, acclaimed regional theatres and satirical comedy writing.

Prime Ribbing gives us an hilarious look at the people, places and politics making today's headlines. No one is safe. No cow too sacred to avoid a little ribbing. All your favorites are fodder for de Ghelder's edgy sense of humor: Sarah Palin, President Obama, Congress, Show biz, Sports Celebrities - and even our own town Bellingham - are targets for searing satire. No matter where you are on the political or social spectrum, Prime Ribbing proves we can all meet in the middle when it's for a lot of laughs. Through parody songs and comedy sketches, Prime Ribbing offers up an hilarious menu of laughter.

Vegetarians welcome, too!
