Boston-based Alley Cat Theater and OUT LOUD Theatre of Providence will present John Greiner-Ferris's Plank, at the Providence Fringe Festival on Wednesday, July 22 at 7:00 p.m. and Friday, July 24 at 8:00 p.m. at the URI Providence campus at 80 Washington Street, Providence, Rhode Island.

Plank is a play about a woman who is happy and content, adrift in the middle of the ocean on a piece of wood. But then she is "rescued." Plank is directed by OUT LOUD Theatre's Founding Artistic Director Kira Hawkridge, and features Tammy Brown, Natasha Cole, Aubrey Dion, Siobhan LaPorte-Cauley, Sarah Leach, and Erika Rethorn.

"I wrote Plank to take advantage of the non-traditional theater form in which OUT LOUD Theatre excels, and I was ecstatic when Kira agreed to collaborate on this piece," said Greiner-Ferris

"Being able to work with John on this script has been such a wonderful opportunity and process," said Hawkridge. "We've got such great cast of women working on this project and have really been able to challenge ourselves digging into the ensemble nature of this new work. OUT LOUD is thrilled to be collaborating with Alley Cat Theater, and we are all looking forward to sharing this particular collaboration during the Providence Fringe Festival."
