Oberon Presents The Annie Darcy Band with Special Guest Dagmar
By: Gabrielle Sierra Nov. 03, 2010
OBERON, the American Repertory Theater's destination for theater and nightlife on the fringe of Harvard Square, is bringing exciting and original programming to the space in 2010. The home of the A.R.T.'s hit productions of The Donkey Show and Cabaret, OBERON also presents the work of local and visiting talent. On Wednesday, November 10th, OBERON presents The Annie Darcy Band and Dagmar, two unique musical performances for one night only.
The Annie Darcy Band was featured in the Manderley Bar at every performance during the run of Sleep No More and their unique vintage sound and sassy sultry ways were a great success with all audiences. They return to the OBERON stage joined by special guests - the ensemble Dagmar, featuring Jim Bauer and Meghan McGeary. Bauer and McGeary met nearly a decade ago when she was cast in his then nascent and now in full bloom musical play The Blue Flower, to open at the Loeb Drama Center in a few weeks. Five years back, they joined forces in a dynamic duo called Dagmar, singing songs about a guy who can't get out of bed in the morning and an insect-goddess who plunges through the ether to rescue him. They will present original music from the Dagmar and Blue Flower song cycles. For info and tickets visit www.cluboberon.com
