North Shore-Based Production Team Punctuate4 Productions Emerges

By:

Four Massachusetts women professionals have established Punctuate4 Productions a unique North Shore-based, non-profit organization dedicated to developing new dramatic works that capture the imagination of audiences and reflect our diverse world.

"Punctuate4 focuses on works that ultimately tell the human story," said President/Artistic Director Myriam Cyr, a Beverly resident.

"It is my pleasure to form this company with three other professional women that I have worked with in multiple theatre organizations over the past several years, most recently as the artistic team at the Stage 284 Black Box Lab in Hamilton, Mass."

With a commitment to excellence and a shared passion for collaboration, Punctuate4 specifically develops site-specific new and under-recognized dramatic works for public audiences.

"We have an exceptional multi-disciplined team that have the vision and skills to do it all from grant writing and developing a financial plan to designing visuals from graphics to sets and costumes," added Cyr who is a well-known professional director working in New York, Boston and major metropolitan theaters around the world.

The Punctuate4 creative team brings a great depth and breadth of experience with them to complement the skills and talents of Artistic Director Cyr. With decades of experience in theater and music, nationally as well as internationally, they combine this passion with graduate educational degrees, expertise in scenic design, costume design, branding, marketing, leadership development, educational consulting, fund raising, grant writing. They have held positions of leadership in higher education at prestigious New England colleges and educational associations, architectural firms.

They are business owners in the Boston area, spanning the fields of personal development, restaurant ownership, design, and consulting, entrepreneurship, health and wellness, fundraising, graphic and interior design. On stage, in film, and behind the scenes, the team represents a wide range of talent in acting, singing, costume and set design, marketing, producing, and casting.

In addition to Cyr, the Punctuate4 creative team consists of Catherine Stramer of Hamilton, vice president; Patricia Jamison of Topsfield, treasurer; and Linda Greenstein, clerk, a Boxford resident.

Punctuate 4's first full production will be the Saltonstall: One Man's Stand Against the Salem Witch Trails this fall. Written by playwright/attorney Michael Cormier and director/author Myriam Cyr, the true story looks at the distinguished Judge Nathaniel Saltonstall personal struggle, and ethical challenge as he tried to save his family and community from "a wave so big, it will drown us all." The production is set for November 1 to 4 in Haverhill, Mass, Saltonstall's hometown.
