'Nighttime Traffic' Musical Premieres February 26-March 1 at Boston University
Nighttime Traffic, a new musical with book, music and lyrics by Boston University senior Theatre Arts major Alex Wyse, premieres February 26-March 1 at Boston University. Produced under the guidance of award-winning playwright and Boston University Assistant Professor, Lydia R. Diamond, the musical tells the story of Max, a writer who hasn't written in months due to a lack of inspiration and a preoccupation with losing himself in the city's nightlife. When his boyfriend Calder is diagnosed with terminal cancer, Audrey, the brazen nurse, provides the two men with a mind-altering pill to slow their perception of time. Nighttime Traffic brings alive a world of altered perceptions and unanticipated inspiration as the characters search for solace in times of grief. Dates are February 26 through March 1 at Boston University's College of Fine Arts, 855 Commonwealth Ave. Admission is free.
Eunice Woods directs. Starring Michael Berry, Jenny Rachel Weiner, and Alex Wyse. Stage managed by Danielle Saks. All are Boston University Senior Theatre Arts majors. Performances at Boston University's College of Fine Arts, 855 Commonwealth Avenue, Thursday, February 26 at 7pm, Friday, February 27 at 6pm, Saturday, February 28 at 8pm, Sunday March 1 at 4:30pm.
