In this lovely and fantastical fable a young woman discovers her singular humanity when a monster appears from under her bed one night. The woman and the monster tell each other a series of original tales where children grow in gardens, maestros can make music with only their hands and grief and love are the two most powerful emotions.

Artistic Director John Edward O'Brien and IRNE nominee Barlow Adamson will direct. The cast features Sasha Castroverde, Irene Daly, Nathaniel Gundy, Becca A. Lewis, Lonnie McAdoo & Elizabeth Rimar. Our technical and design staff include Brett Bundock, Bonnie Duncan, Benjamin Janey, Kathy Maloney & PJ Strachman. Original music written and performed by Sarah Rabdau.

Playwright Mary Jett Parsley attended college at Duke University and received her MFA in dramatic writing from NYU. She has been the recipient of a Playwrights Fellowship from the North Carolina Arts Council and a grant from the Pilgrim Project. Other plays include Right Side Wrong, First Born, Tar River Love Story and Locked Doors and Lightning Bugs, which received the Southeastern Theater Conference's Charles M. Gretchell award and was a winner of the Charlotte Repertory Theatre's New Plays in America Festival.

Celebrating our 13th year and 27th production, Mill 6 continues finding plays we love and bringing them to Boston. 2010 saw the return of our popular new play series The T Plays and also included our participation in the 12th Boston Theatre Marathon as well as the world premiere of Chris Keating's A Stone on the Water. Since its' founding Mill 6's productions include 16 world premieres and 8 Boston/New England premieres. We have performed across Greater Boston, Cape Cod and New York City.
