Heart & Dagger, Happy Medium to Wrap Seasons with PSYCHO BEACH PARTY, Begin. 7/25
Heart & Dagger Productions and Happy Medium Theatre are thrilled to announce the conclusion of their respective 3rd and 4th seasons with PSYCHO BEACH PARTY by Charles Busch. The production previews July 25th and opens July 26th at the Factory Theatre, 791 Tremont Street, Boston, MA. PSYCHO BEACH PARTY gives "Gidget", Frankie and Annette beach party epics, and Hitchcock psychological suspense thrillers such as "Spellbound" and "Marnie" are given a shotgun marriage.
This hilarious romp follows Chicklet Forrest, a teenage tomboy, who desperately wants to be part of the surf crowd on Malibu Beach in 1962. One thing getting in her way is her unfortunate tendency towards split personalities (and a flat chest, of course). Among them is a black check out girl, an elderly radio talk show hostess, a male model named Steve, and the accounting firm of Edelman and Edelman. Her most dangerous alter ego is a sexually voracious vixen named Ann Bowman who has nothing less than world domination on her mind.
PSYCHO BEACH PARTY will be directed by Barbara DiGirolamo (MilkMilkLemonade, Heart & Dagger) and she is no stranger to campy fun or parody. The cast will be led by Joey C. Pelletier (Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead, Happy Medium Theatre) as Chicklet Forrest and features Heart & Dagger and Happy Medium regulars; Elizabeth Battey (Berdine), Mike Budwey (Kanaka), Barbara DiGirolamo (Nicky), Mikey DiLoreto (Provoloney), Lauren Foster (Bettina Barnes), Amy Meyer (Marvel Ann), Daniel J. Raps (Yo Yo), and Audrey Lynn Sylvia (Mrs. Forrest)! We are so pleased to welcome Francisco Marquez as Star Cat to this psychotic party!
