Registration has begun for visual and performing arts spring programs at the Howard County Center for the Arts (HCCA) in Ellicott City. HCCA offers classes and workshops for children and adults and the programs are open to the public. Spring art educational programs begin the week of April 13, 2009. Most classes run for eight weeks through June 13th.
Offerings for adults include Basic Drawing Skills, Beginner and Advanced Watercolor Painting, Sumi Painting and Theatre Scene Study. Ongoing weekly drop-in sessions for drawing and painting from portrait and life models are also taking place. Youth courses are offered for ages 5-12 and include Exploring Art, Exploring Printmaking, and Prepare to Perform. Registration is also open for a special summer workshop, Improv 101 with instructor Bruce Nelson taking place July 14 and July 16, 2009.Class brochures are available for pick-up at the Howard County Center for the Arts or on the website at www.hocoarts.org.Videos
